VWT is looking for a Bat Programme Manager to drive forward its bat conservation programme, build on existing success and create new projects and areas of work to deliver the Trust’s Ten-Year Strategy.

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic scientist and leader, with strong interpersonal and management skills.

This role offers you an exciting opportunity to lead VWT’s specialist bat conservation team and lay the foundations for an innovative programme of future work.

You will need to have a combination of proven management capabilities, a passion for mammal conservation and experience in leading successful conservation projects. You will have a good knowledge of the ecological needs of threatened mammals, experience of finding conservation solutions, sourcing funding to support implementation and working with the public and key stakeholders.

Your primary purpose will be to drive forward our programme of activities, build on existing success and create new projects and areas of work to widen the Trust’s impact and profile in order to deliver the Ten-Year strategy.
