The European Mustelid Colloquium (EMC) is a biennial event that brings together researchers, conservationists, and enthusiasts from across Europe and beyond to discuss mustelid ecology, conservation, and related issues. The Colloquium provides a platform for sharing research, fostering collaboration, and addressing challenges in mustelid conservation and is also a place to highlight critical topics — in 2024, the focus was on the conservation of critically endangered European mink (Mustela lutreola).
The 36th EMC will kick off on the evening of the 6 September with a welcome social event, followed by two days of talks, plus an excursion into the Białowieża Strict Reserve, famed for its primeval forest and large population of European bison.
Registration and abstract submission for the conference is expected to open at the end of 2025/early 2026.
Further updates and information about the EMC will be shared on the EMC website page and social media accounts.
